Can you say sub-4hr. century?! A large contingent of Cycle Logic members made their way to the start of the 2008 Swampman Century. The lead group kept an average speed of over 26 mph for the entire ride. That pace was pushed in large part by the Orange and Gray. In the bottom photo to the left, the leaders have already knocked out the first 30 miles and at that moment were pushing 30 miles per hour, nine of the top ten cyclists in the paceline were proudly flying the colors of Cycle Logic.

crazy hard.
lots of surges.
more than a few people who don't know how to ride in a group.
my legs are toast for a couple of days.
Oh Stop whining!! Are you coming back next year for a 3:45??? Seems there weren't many Cycle Logic folks at the end. (In the Lead Group)
There were four CL guys in the lead group at the end. The CL guys who
were tailed off saved it for the Pinellas weekend and brought home
results. Mr Anonymous, how about you?
Let's see..
Ron Palsgrove, Ken Sallot, Jayson O'Mahoney, and Anthony Musalo. That's four guys in the lead group at the finish.
Additionally, Tal Mincey came in 5 minutes later after cramping at mile 95. So that was five under 4:00.
How'd your group do?
From Kerry.
Way to go guys! This is what it's all about. How much suffering can you endure and still call it recreation not masochism!
How many of you guys shaved your legs to shave a few seconds off?
What were the female and junior times?
wow, what a dick mr anonymous is. at least i have the balls to claim my comments. but, yes it's true. people rolling to the front and increasing the speed by 3 mph for 10 seconds and pulling off is not how to get a big group to the line in under 4 hours. rolling up to 30 for 8 minutes is a bit different, that helps the group. btw, dick cheese, i was in the front group.
another thing to add . . .
riding in the peloton draft until your sitting 4th or 5th then pulling up and out leaving a 2 bike-length gap for someone to close is not what i consider good pack riding.
