I’m praying with every ounce of cycling fanaticism I have in my soul that George Hincapie pulls off the Classic victory that he has yearned for throughout his career.

With that being said, my similar prayers have gone unanswered every other time so my submission will attempt to be a bit more pragmatic.

My pick for the win in this year’s Ronde will be Sylvain Chavanel (because I don’t want him to win, so I figure he’s got a great shot at it)

The podium will be rounded out by Heinrich Haussler and Greg Van Avermaet.

There will be a final selection of about 30 making it over the Eikenmolen. All the big names will be rep’d. Those 30 will be whittled to about 9 just ten Kilometers later while going over the Kapelmuur…but the final final selection won’t be made until Dominique Rollin puts in a massive attack over the Bosberg in final k’s.

Rollin holds on to 4th while working for Haussler and Tommeke runs top 5. Maskaant slots into 6th by attacking the remaining leaders in the last 50 meters.

I'm going with Hincapie. I also thing I will eventually beat Gary Yates on a Hipp sprint.
